ALKÉ × Lucas du Tertre

When Lucas du Tertre 's artisanal know-how meets the energy of women's sport brought by ALKÉ , the result could only be vibrant.

Between floral prints and technical cuts, this collaboration tells a story of transmission, movement, and feminine creation.

A look back at the genesis of the project and the shared vision behind this collection.

🎙️ Claire Allard, founder of ALKÉ, tells us about the ALKÉ × Lucas du Tertre collaboration

Why this collaboration?

I met Marie at the French Fashion Institute; she had launched her brand with Clémence several years earlier, ALKÉ hadn't been created yet. We clicked immediately; there are things that unite people without needing to be explained, a shared sensibility without a doubt.

Over the years, Marie became something of a mentor; we often met up to exchange ideas about our brands. I was a huge fan of the brand and I converted almost my entire family to floral throws!

One day I said to him, why don't we make a jersey? And then we made a prototype… it lingered a bit in their office, and then the girls started taking it to their sports sessions, tennis, physiotherapy, and very quickly, it became obvious, everyone had to be able to adopt it.

So instead of just making one jersey, we created a whole collection! For all sporty women. And for relaxing moments too, because it's super important to us that we feel good in our clothes, especially in sportswear that's supposed to allow us to move.

Beyond the personal connection, what brought you together for this collaboration?

I would say a similar desire to shake things up .
Create movement, go beyond the beaten path.
At ALKÉ as at Lucas du Tertre, there is this desire to do things differently: to respect the rhythm, the material, the know-how, while bringing energy and modernity.

And then, we share the conviction that clothing is not just a functional object: it is a medium of expression .
A way to tell a story, to celebrate the body, freedom, creativity.

How did the two worlds — sport and craftsmanship — actually meet?

At Lucas du Tertre, the designs are reproduced by hand in India, using artisanal printing techniques and natural dyes .
Here, the clothes are made in small, specialized workshops in northern Italy, often family-run businesses, sometimes managed by women.

When we put all of that together, it created an alchemy: the craftsmanship of the pattern and the technicality of the sportswear.
The result is a piece that is both poetic and effective.

Was it also a way to bring together two visions of “beauty” and “truth”?

Exactly.
We know that we cannot be perfect, nor do everything locally or ideally, but we can be true to the truth , listen, and be consistent.
This project is a dialogue between two brands, but also between two cultures, two heritages: India, Greece, France .
It's a way of saying that sport and craftsmanship, colour and courage, can coexist and nourish each other.

If we had to summarize this collection in a few words?

It is a meeting between two feminine worlds that have always wanted to do things differently.
A tribute to creativity, to transmission, to movement.
And above all, to all the women who move forward, who invent, who surpass themselves — on the field as elsewhere.
