The Legend of ALKÉ
The meeting of two strong symbols
Our brand is called ALKÉ, goddess of courage and prowess in Greek mythology. We have associated with this goddess an emblem, the hummingbird, symbol of Velocity, Diversity, Elegance and Self-improvement. This bird reminds us that we should not trust appearances, like David against Goliath, ALKÉ is a small brand, which wishes to upset preconceived ideas, without being impressed by the giants of sport.
We tell you the legend of the meeting of these two emblems:
“One day, the goddess Alke was walking in the woods. In the middle of the forest, she met a motley hummingbird. The latter said to her: Who are you, spirit? What are you doing in these woods?
She answered him: I am looking for a friend: a friend I could take everywhere, a friend who would help me give wings to everyone so that they can fly away filled with courage to accomplish all feats.
The hummingbird replied: I think I am the perfect bird, the most enduring in the forest.
So she took him on her back and they both went off to give each other that little bit of energy with which everything is nothing but magic.
The goddess always in everyone's heart, followed by the bird, her good companion who never lets anyone give up.
